Special Interests

Dr. Suh (pronounced SAW) has practiced pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus in central Iowa and has taught at the UNMC Ophthalmology Department for the last 14 years. He recently joined UNMC as a faculty member.

Dr. Suh is a volunteer faculty of ORBIS medical mission programs, and travels to South America, Europe, Asia and Africa to provide medical and surgical services and to teach the local ophthalmologists.

Dr. Suh was chairman of the Annual Meeting Program Committee in pediatric ophthalmology for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and was president of the Polk County Medical Society in Iowa. He has been published in many medical journals and textbooks, and is also involved with teaching the residents in pediatrics, internal medicine, family medicine and ophthalmology in Iowa and Nebraska.

Dr. Suh is actively involved with research at the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigation Group (PEDIG) which is sponsored by the National Eye Institute (NIH).

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Suh enjoys family activities, running half marathons and golfing.
